STARBELLYS UNITED

home of David and Ange's splurbs on Natural/conscious living that affects all aspects of our lives, and other happenings....

Tuesday, December 16

here i am in a internet cafe once again, i would just like to state that the failure of proformance from our home computor is indeed NOT my beloved husbands fault and i am sorry if this was implided by my earlyer posts,

I do feel that the lack of putor workability is crushing the spontanity and thus blocking me from gracing this blog with my presence and thoughts......

So much that it seems that Starbellys is a singular unit and i have no interests or opinions other than that of my husbands which is untrue in many ways. So please forgive my absence and join the almagamation of thoughtful people to remind my man that 'He Is The computor Man' and he can fix our home computor woes and thus reconnect his wife with the blogging community.

Tuesday, December 2

Okay here I am in the little internet cafe , 'cos our computer is still dumb,
I would just like to say that it is kinda nice to be here for the people watching quality's of internet cafe's even though the constant hum of numerous computers and the Electromagnetic Fields always give me a headache, and as you leave you realize that your head spins as though the screen has dissolved even more brain cells,

anyway I do believe that summer may just be upon us and going by the traditions of years gone by I will embark on the yearly journey over to where the Golden sands originated, Golden Bay at the top af the south island to rejoice in the year gone by and bring in the new year with energy and thankfulness to being alive .Our destination is Visionz

Vision is a celebration of music, art, ideas and fun. It happens where the land meets the sea - at the base of Farewell Spit, Golden Bay, Aotearoa/New Zealand; from the 30th of December 2003 until the 2nd of January 2004.

For four days and three nights, the Robinsons; big, beautiful bush-fringed farm becomes a giant camp-ground for families, freaks, straights, greenies, hippies, farmers, rugby players and grandparents alike. Their aim is to see in the New Year amid some of the finest live and electronic music, perfomance and atmosphere to be found anywhere - and to help make a difference.

Vision is organised by a Charitable Trust that aims to promote a sustainable future for this planet through the principles of organics, permaculture and co-operation. All proceeds from the party go towards funding projects both locally and nationally that will help achieve these aims. The Trust is run by volunteers, and is open to involvement and input from the community.

The Festival has happened each year since New Years Eve 2000/2001, and has gained a solid reputation for its good vibe, great location and wicked entertainment. Last

As well as being able to absorb musical and visual delights, a participant at Vision will be able to join fun, educational Workshops ranging from harakeke weaving to alternative energy. The festival also has a policy of ZeroWaste, and we encourage everyone to help us by reducing the waste they create. Some practical ways to do this are: bring your own cup, spoon and plate to use at cafes, use our recycling bins intelligently so that the waste-stream can be reduced, and cut down on products that create waste through packaging. Vision aims to be more than just another music party: it's a conscious demonstration of our will to change the way we live.

I feel a little bit odd going to this as a punter, and not having being involved in the festival somewhere along the line .
Yes david is coming with me and i am relising the chance to be the one introducing him to such an event, and in true style to fit with this journey we are traveling by tactful hitch-hiking/bus etc to make use of all the time traveling as a time to meet, learn about other people, (one of my favorite things) yay the excitement is building.........
