Organ, Tambourine and lyrics/vocal brillance in my opinion

Ben Harper, Show me a little Shame
heres some interesting stuff (me and David are of equal weight at the moment)

But all this is included in me:

• At birth, your baby will weigh approximately 3300g (7.3lbs).
• During pregnancy, the muscle layer of your womb (uterus) grows dramatically and weighs an extra 900g (2lbs)
• The placenta (afterbirth), which keeps your baby nourished, weighs 600g (1.3lbs)
• Your breasts weigh an extra 400g (0.9lbs)
• Your blood volume increases and weighs an extra 1200g (2.6lbs)
• You have extra fluid in your body, weighing 2600g (5.7lbs)
• Plus, you will lay down some fat during your pregnancy to provide you with extra energy for breastfeeding. This comes to about 2500g (5.5lbs).

So 3300grms Baby
And 8200grms Other

Wow

"The choice, after all, is ours to make. If, after having endured much, we have at last asserted our 'right to know,' and if, knowing, we have concluded that we are being asked to take senseless and frightening risks, then we should no longer accept the counsel of those who tell us that we must fill our world with poisonous chemicals; we should look about and see what other course is open to us." (Silent Spring, 1962)

I have added some links:

National Resourse Defense Council is an interesting site which explains some of the stuff us people have done and how they are affecting our health and future generations health, our enviroment, and wildlife.

Toxic threats to a Childs development  is a fact sheet put together by physicians for social responsibility (they won the Nobel peace prize in 1985) for parents and future parents.
The infomation covers why children have a greater risk of toxic chemicals, reducing the risks from pesticides, reducing the risks of heavy metals, reducing the risks from solvents/paint varnishes etc. Using safer household products and safer building materials and furnishings.

I find great value in this site and its infomation. It adresses chemicals that leech out of plastics, And vapours that leech out of carpets, varnishs, paints and furnishings. As well as risks from the food we digest.  Throughout the site, links are given to sites that have more infomation on that particular topic.

Skin deep A enviromental working group site, where you can search specific ingredients used in cosmetics/shampoos/baby products etc and know health risks associated with the substances.

Fouride Action A New Zealand site, has info on Flouride in our water. I found this site when researching the little town we live in Petone which has water without the chlorine or flouride, and provides public taps so people from outside our area can fill up containers of Artisan water

Childrens Health Enviromental Coalition.

I am in a completely happy joyful thankful place at the moment, full of energy, mainly because --------
i have a new piece of artwork up on my wall (painting by Kiran Gandhi).
Jimi Hendrix record spinning with a brand new needle,( " But they don’t realise they’re the ones who’s square").
The discovery of Screen printing,
and painting 1950's style pictures onto plates, and cups,
And what a great idea it has been to paint our fridge with black chalkboard paint .
Baby clothes ideas are coming in thick and fast (purple is a unisex colour right?!)
Buying ugly cream lambswool jerseys from op shops and cutting them up and making them into baby pixie jerseys then dying them is a good thing to do.
Stumbling across a ex rent-a-plant shop where i bought a tropical indoor "tree" for $15
Feeling in love with my baby belly and looking forward to the belly photo shoot.

Grand ideas have flushed over me with where screen printing could take me, i already have Baby clothes printed with    "i see BIG people"   other posible prints include "Sprog" "Beware of flooding" "planned" "spit on that tissue and I’ll call social services""dribble factory" etc
As well as some pretty funky pictures i am entering a whole new world of possibilitys...... any further ideas please comment. Note-- i can now print stuff on hoodys, t-shirts etc etc.. yay (for a small fee of course)hehehe

this little spurb bounced out at me,

Whats Coffee got to do with Jesus?

As part of jesus week on Mon Wed Thur and Fri from 11 to 1 we will be giving out fairly traded coffee. An integral part of following Jesus is seeking to act with justice, and challenging injustice in its different forms in our society. The bible is full of teaching about social justice, for example the question asked 'what does the Lord require of you?" and the answer given is "to act justly and love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" (micah 6;8) Jesus led a life which challanged social norms, and he criticised his contemporaries for living a life based on rules, while neglecting the most inportant things; justice, mercy and faithfulness (matthew 23;23) He commands us to "love Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind"and to " love your neighbour as yourself"(matthew 22:37-39)
Although the international trade system is unjust , we can use our consumer power to stop exploitative trading practices that perpetuate poverty. We can think about how we spend our money and choose to avoid products made under exploitive conditions. One seeingly small example is the purchase and comsumption of coffee. Coffee is the second most traded commodity in the world, but growers and pickers, predominantly in third world countries, only recieve between 5-10% of what we pay for a cup of coffee. an alternative is the purchase of fair trade coffee, which simply ensures that producers are paid a fair price for the goods they produce. If you would like to know more about Trade Aid, feel free to stop by our stall.

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful
,May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
